Mission The mission of the National Society of Black Engineers, is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers, who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community

Behind The Mission Every meeting must start and end with the NSBE mission Why? – Because we must always remember why we’re here and what our overall aim is as an organization – Anything planned or executed that is not in an effort to support the mission should be stopped. – The restatement of the mission keeps our focus on what is important Everyone must stand when stating the mission

Ice Breaker "Birthright" Separate the participants into four groups: youngest, middle, oldest and only children. After they have gathered, have each group write down some of the disadvantages and advantages of their particular birth order to share with the group. For instance, the oldest children might say "I always got stuck with babysitting my little siblings," but that, "I was the first to get my own car."
