Internal Hosting What is it? – This is when an organisation would put (host) files on a server (computer with server software) inside the organisation. – The organisation would provide a quick link to the home page – something like – The files would be available to users who connected to the server via the INTRANET

External Hosting This is when the organisation makes use of a server that is somewhere on the internet The user can either pay for the hosting or get the hosting free Files are transferred from the web author’s computer to the server using FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
