The football tradition has been deeply rooted in the city since the 1930s. Noto football team, founded in 1946, has played in several Regional Championships. The USD Noto Calcio is an Italian football club located in Noto, founded in It is the main football association in Noto and has won seven Regional Championships and a Sicily Cup.

Noto, Twirling: Federica Italia and Salvo Adernò participated in the European Championships in Maribor, Slovenia, 10 July, Two athletes from Noto are the standard-bearers of one of the most important associations in Italy. They represented Italy at the European Twirling Championships in Maribor (Slovenia).

The Amateur Sports Association Atletica Noto was founded 31 January 1994 by a group of friends who shared a strong passion for running. Today, ASD Atletica Noto has over 80 members and is one of the most established associations in the province of Siracusa..

TABLE TENNIS In 2015 four athletes belonging to the Association A.S. Francomola in Noto took part in the regional table tennis championship, held in Siracusa, organised by C.S.I.. They achieved a first place and three podium finishes, qualifying for the nationals.

The Association promotes and forms teams of cyclists for participation in regional and national competitions and sporting events. It is also a training centre for mountain biking.

ASD ZULEIMA BASKETBALL ASD Zuleima Basketball Noto is an association founded with the intention of promoting basketball, aimed at children aged 2 to 14 years. This year the association has come up with a new project that includes a mix of music and basketball, called MUSIC BASKETBALL.

Surf CastingSurf Casting: Noto Barocca Association The Association Noto Barocca participated at the World Championships in South Africa for surf casting clubs, having qualified in second place in the Italian Championships in Sardinia.

Sports Facilities The Municipal sports facilities are: 1) The Municipal Stadium, where you will find: a gym a covered football pitch an outdoor football pitch a velodrome 2) Sports Centre Giovanni Palatucci, located in contrada Zupparda, inaugurated in 2010, where there are: two football pitches a pool 3) A private motocross circuit. 4) Multipurpose Gym at the Institute Principessa di Savoia.

Palatucci Sports Centre

MOTOCROSS CIRCUIT GINO MELI The Motocross circuit Gino Meli is located in Contrada Zupparda. It is certainly the most beautiful technical motocross track in the whole of Sicily. For this reason it received the approval of the Italian Motorcycle Federation and official races and training are held there. Due to the favorable climatic conditions, this track could become, during the winter months, home of sports workouts or even national teams.

Principessa di Savoia Gym Within the educational institution Princess of Savoy, there is a gym which can be considered a full sports centre. It's the only indoor facility where you can play any sport at a competitive level (basketball, volleyball, Soccer 5, Twirling, handball, etc.). It is used by students during the lesson times and, in the afternoon and evening, by numerous sports clubs in the city.

The Public Library Principe di Villadorata The public library Prince of Villadorata was opened in The first volumes were donated by the Prince of Villadorata, Corrado Nicolaci, and his example was followed by other nobles and professionals. Originally situated in the Palace of the City Hall, it was later moved to other venues. Since 2009 it has been located in a wing of the Villadorata Palace. Currently the library holds approximately 80,000 volumes. It also contains paintings and portraits of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries and a collection of twenty portraits of illustrious personalities of Noto.

LEISURE ACTIVITIES B Recently Noto has renovated green areas such as the Public Gardens, where new rides for children and the disabled have been installed. Plans for future redevelopment include a new lighting system, new structures for public restrooms, and a car park. Improvements are also planned for the fountain and the surrounding square, along with the old playground. The park has become a firm favourite with both families and sportsmen, after the creation of a fitness trail, the rearrangement of the green areas, the installation of a new lighting system, new public toilets, and improved parking.

Opened in 1870, the theatre Tina di Lorenzo, Piazza XVI Maggio, in the heart of the old town, employs 300 people and is spread over three tiers of boxes plus a gallery. The performances of the theatre season saw the presence of famous actors and actresses. The venue is also used for many events, such as festivals, conferences, congresses, etc., that enrich the cultural offering of the facility.

CULTURAL FACILITIES Lounge Bar Anche gli Angeli Anche gli Angeli is a very famous bar in the historic centre of Noto, offering both an excellent restaurant and lounge bar with local products. The venue was built inside an eighteenth century crypt and is also a concept-store where you can buy books, designer items, wine, cakes and other typical Sicilian products. Inside or outside, depending on the season, various kinds of cultural events are organised, attracting both young and older clients.
