We des BACKGROUND We were asked by Flash Entertainment, based in Abu Dhabi, to create a unique ‘adventure’ structure for the 2013 ‘Summer In Abu Dhabi Festival’ held in ADNEC during July & August. The challenge was to create an activity centre that was interesting, could cater to different ages and abilities, gave a sense of danger yet was completely safe in a well packaged structure. Here’s our solution…

We des TECHNICAL Footprint: 40 metres by 20 metres, excluding Zip Line landing zone Structural Frame: Three runs of scaffold frame to a height of 9 metres Climbing Wall: 9 metres high with 3 difficulty levels; Novice, Intermediate and Advanced – Differing belay systems depending on installation Zip Line: 40 metre run from a 7 metre elevation. Self arresting safety system at landing zone. Low maintenance. Junior Activities: Crossed Planks, Scramble Net, Climbing Tubes, Front Slide, Small Ball Pit, Crawl Tunnel, Large Ball Pit, Dark Maze, Back Slide Senior Activities: Tyre Swing, Rope Swing, Ladder Swing, Wobbly Steps, Rings, Plank Walk – leading to Zip Line Safety: All Activities are made safe using soft materials and protective padding where necessary with industrial grade catch nets Maintenance: Provided as part of the package

At Invent we believe that our activities should ideally benefit the less fortunate in our community. Our Outreach Programme, in association with non-profit making organization Volunteer in UAE, can do just that for little or no effort on behalf of our clients. It could be as simple as inviting all attendees at an event to bring their unwanted books and we will create a fun competition to guess the number of total pages donated to win a spot prize.
