WHAT MAKES A GOOD MANAGER? 1. Communicate what you want, & listen to what others are saying. 2. Respect your employees, & make them feel like an important part of the operation. 3. Give employees a living wage. 4. Look into benefit packages. 5. Give younger workers an opportunity.

Satisfy Employee Needs 1. Employees have needs that they desire to satisfy, (which in turn) 2. Leads to actions that will fulfill their needs, (which in turn) 3. Leads to rewards, (which in turn) 4. Reinforces their actions and cause them to be repeated.

Jobs (cont.) 3. Jobs should be designed so that the employee understands the significance of his job to the farm. 4. Jobs should be designed so that each employee has responsibility, challenge, freedom and the opportunity to be creative. 5. Supervisors should incorporate feed back into each job.
