 One recent study showed that recruiters spend all of 6.25 seconds looking at a candidate’s résumé before deciding whether he or she is fit for a job. While some 17% of hiring managers said they spend 30 seconds or less, 68% said they scan a résumé for as long as two minutes before putting it aside.

 Everyone has a different opinion about what a resume should look like – the only two that matter are you and the person you want to be hired by.

 Take the key words from the job description and bring them into your resume. KEY WORDS

 PROOFREAD! PROOFREAD! PROOFREAD!  Typos are a big mistake. Have someone else read it as well.  Use a consistent format.  Formatting can get garbled when moving across platforms.
