 “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”  This amendment only refers to the Military  Republicans and Democrats interpret this differently  Republicans-Everyone should own a gun  Democrats-Military only should own a gun

 Australia-Banned Guns in Chance of being shot decreased by 50%  Canada-Illegal to own any form of firearm- Only 173 people were killed in 2009  Japan-Owning, or touching a gun results in 10 years in prison-In 2011 only 11 people were killed from guns  America-No gun control- Every year more than 30,000 people are shot

 NO  By taking away the gun, we eliminate half the problem  Guns are the main cause of deaths in America  There will always be people that kill  By taking away their weapon, they will have a lot more difficulty doing so

 Democrats generally believe that it is dangerous and unnecessary for everyone to own a gun  Republicans generally believe that as a matter of safety everyone should have the right to own and use a gun  Republicans often say that if the victims of shootings had guns, they could have protected themselves  Or, if there were no guns, there could have been no shooting at all.
