Ask a Question  During this lab we grew sun flower seeds.  What we wanted to find out was what will happen if a plant is watered with acid rain and what will happen when the sunflower is watered with unpolluted water.

Control vs. Variable State your hypothesis  My group was a control group.  I hypothesize are sunflower will grow because there is no acidity in the water.

Data  Insert Chart  Insert Graph DateDry Wt. Wet Wt. Differen ceHeight 4/20/ /18/ /20/ /23/ /25/ /30/

Data Interpretation  During my experiment my sunflower seed grew because it had no acid and plenty of sunlight.  My graph is a line graph based on the data of the chart. This means that the weight increased after the water was added. The difference was very low compared to the actual hieght.

State your Conclusion  My hypothesis that stated that my plant would grow was correct because the water was unpolluted.  I learned how to grow a healthy plant on a steady diet of 20 milliliters and the same amount of sunlight.  For future use I would plant more than 1 seed because some of the seeds may have been bad, since a few of my classmates seeds didn’t grow.
