2 About NWS Nangloi Water Services (NWS) work on behalf of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and under its direct supervision. NWS is in charge of improvement and revamping of existing water supply system, transmission and distribution network under the command area of Nangloi Water Treatment Plant, as specified in the 15-year contract which was signed last year between the DJB and NWS. This is the largest public-private partnership ever to be formed by State Government of New Delhi in the water sector. NWS is a joint venture company set up by Veolia Water India and its local partner, Swach Environment. DJB wishes to enhance service delivery and improved management of water distribution by upgrading the water supply system and network improvement under the command area of Nangloi Water Treatment Plant in order to: Reduce non revenue water Conserve energy Improve quality of drinking water Improvement in Customer Services Under the terms of the contract, NWS will supply uninterrupted drinking water to one million people in Nangloi
