Chapter Grant Program Funding: $25,000 Certification Educational programming University outreach Membership Grant Program At-a-Glance 4 Popular Project Areas (PY15 & PY16)

Chapter Grant Program 5 Purpose To help chapters with limited resources deliver strategic and innovative services to members that align with the chapter mission

Chapters are ELIGIBLE for the PY17 Grant Cycle if the chapter reporting is current: 6 Due July 31, 2016 Chapter Annual, Financial, Audit reports, bylaws, and chapter officers Submitted PY16 Year-End Report Packet Due 30 days after implementation of grant project and no later than November 2016 Submitted PY16 Final Grant Report If a chapter is unable to meet the agreed upon goal in the grant, all funds must be returned to NCMA Returned unused PY16 grant funds

Some Restrictions Apply 7 Not OK Grants for basic business operations Grants that benefit select individuals including CMLDP Grants that offset meal costs for regular membership meetings OK Travel grants for speakers Grants that benefit the chapter as a whole

Is the Project SMART? 10 Project addresses a clearly specified problem or need Project tasks, activities and timeline are thoroughly planned and presented Specific Project’s key outcomes are identified Processes exist to define and measure project success Measureable The chapter resources required to complete the project if funded already exist or are easily attainable Attainable Project is innovative or has the potential to strengthen the chapter, foster improved delivery of programs or services, achieve the chapter’s mission or further goals in the chapter strategic plan Relevant Chapter can achieve the project within the Chapter Grant Program timeline Time Bound

Submitting the Grant Application 11 Submit the Application Grant application is online for PY17 Multiple Grant Applications Submit a separate grant application for each project Application Deadline August 31, 2016

Chapter Grant Final Report 12 A Chapter Grant Final Report is required for each chapter grant Final Report(s) due to Chapter Relations within 30 days of project completion A missing Final Report(s) impacts eligibility for the next grant cycle
