PACKING AND PROTECTING YOUR PRODUCTS WITH THE MOST ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY MATERIALS

OUR MOST INNOVATING PRODUCTS Fresco&Protetto ® / Fresh&Safe ® It’s a Policarta’s patent for packing fresh bread (just out the oven) that guarantees the hygiene and the perfect preservation of the product. The material can be used with normal flow-pack machines. You can apply your personal layout. 100 % biodegradable and made with environmentally friendly materials. Cotto&Protetto ® / Cooked&Protect ® It’s a material patented by Policarta for bread and other bakery products that need further baking (bake-off) in the traditional oven or microwave, without opening the pack. The material can be frozen The C&P properties allow for the direct transfer from the freezer into the traditional oven or microwave, without opening the package Due to the seal package the hygiene of the product is guaranteed. 100% biodegradable and made with environmentally friendly materials.

OUR MOST IMPORTANT ACHIEVEMENTS It’s a patent owned by Policarta for the packaging of soft bread with a medium or long shelf-life. It has the property to stop the transpiration of humidity and oxygen. “ACCOPPIATI“ means multi-layer, referring to the external sheet of paper + one or more internal layers of film. We have the possibility to vary material quality according to the need of food to pack within. Accoppiati / Laminated products® Long Freshness® It’s the last patent created by Policarta which is used to pack par-baked products (90-98% of par-baking) usually sold as fresh. Thanks to this innovation, you can considerably increase time of storage of par-baked products (up to 20 days). The package can be kept chilled and not frozen. This process is enormously cost-effective for logistics, while simultaneously guaranteeing fresh bakery products as daily baked.

TECHNICAL DATA CharacteristicPaperWindow (option)ThicknessPrinting Food products FRESH & SAFE® The F&S allows you to pack products as soon as they come out of the oven, still hot. This process allows for no one other than the consumer touching the product. Products packed with F&S keep their fragrance. F&S prevents external agents from coming in contact with the product. WATER STEAM: F&S properties allow the steam to effortlessly migrate from the bag. AIR: the permeability of F&S is equivalent to micro-perforated polypropylene. HYGIENE: mould or other bacteria molecules are prevented from growing on the product due to the initial temperature of the bread coming out of the oven. Moreover such bacteria is unable to get into the F&S because of the special structure of the fibers. CELLOPHANE: F&S properties allow the steam to effortlessly migrate from the bag. F&S unlike other products on the market has a 100% biodegradable window option. In order to maintain the characteristics of permeability and resistance, the material cannot weight less than 50gr/m 2 nor more than 60gr/m 2 Up to 6 colors Hot bread with crunchy crust COOKED & PROTECT® The C&P is used for packing products which are half-baked and/or frozen. The material allows for the packing of product from a frozen or half cooked state. The product can be reheated or completely cooked while still packed in the C&P, using traditional ovens or microwaves. Paper has the characteristic of resisting to high temperatures. This special paper has its own certification declaring resistance up to 220°C for about 30 min. without any migration. CELLOPHANE: The window has been tested and has the same resistance of the paper portion of the C&P Depending on the size of the bread is possible to decrease the thickness of the material down to 38gr/m 2 For heavier applications, such as products containing grease, oil, etc.., the thickness is generally 80gr/m 2 Up to 6 colors Frozen, par- baked and pre- baked products

TECHNICAL DATA CharacteristicPaperFilm / windowThicknessPrinting Food products LAMINATED® It has the property to stop the transpiration of humidity and oxygen. “ACCOPPIATI“ means multi-layer, referring to the external sheet of paper + one or more internal layers of film. We have the possibility to vary material quality according to the need of food to pack within. Paper is normal Kraft. It is generally very thin to allow a better flow using automatic packing systems. 1° Polypropylene cast: (25-30 my/m2): it is useful for simple products, because it is soft and allows you to use a high speed packing process. 2° Polypropylene coex: more rigid, it is used to give more stability during sealing process (PP cast is more sensible to high temperature and there is the risk of melting), it is aimed for dried products. 3° Doubled polyethylene/polyester: it is used for complex products, where the shelf-life must be longer, this doubled film represents a higher barrier. From 22gr/m 2 to 35-40gr/m 2 Up to 6 colours Soft bread, fresh pizza and focaccia, dry bakery products, snacks, … LONG FRESHNESS® This goal is to increase the shelf life of bakery products, that are generally baked and delivered daily. Using LF product freshness is guarantee up to 20 days. The breathable paper allows the food to be packed at hot temperatures (50°C or more). It is permeable to water steam from 4,000 to 15,000 cc H 2 O/m 2 /24H. LF can be re-baked before final sell. Window bags still maintain the same property of the LF material so that the product does not loose humidity which is the cause of bread aging. Without window: 40 to 80 gr/m 2 With window: from 15my to 50my Up to 6 colours Par-baked fresh bakery products
