Haymitch -A former winner of a previous Hunger Games, he spends most of his evenings drowning in alcohol, his raspy brown hair slowly turning gray and long with age. -He becomes Katniss’ and Peeta’s mentor once they are chosen. Gale -Katniss’ best friend and hunting partner, Gale has gray eyes and straight black hair, along with oily skin that resembles Katniss. -He is always there for Katniss and his family just like how Katniss is for his.

As the second tribute to the Hunger Games from District 12, he has blonde hair and blue eyes and works in a family bakery. He saved Katniss when they were younger.

I think that the book has a great start and an even more dynamic ending. The main character is a true role model and hero to most. I highly recommend reading this book and the 2 to follow it afterwards.
