CG Trojan Lacrosse 2013/14 Season Kickoff September 19, 2013

Welcome & Opening Welcome Introductions: – Board & Officers Meeting Objectives: – Inform parents & participants on state of the program – Set expectations for the 2013/14 season – Solicit feedback from high school parents & participants – Establish broader participation going forward Thanks to CGHS for allowing us use of their facility tonight

Progress Since We Last Met Incorporated new entity: CG Trojan Lacrosse, Inc. Established better governance thru by-laws that mandate broader participation Established practice facility at Maple Grove Elementary Rebranded CenterGroveLacrosse.com as CG Trojan Lacrosse Scheduled Girls & Boys games for 2014 spring season Hired coaches for Boys & Girls teams Re-established relationship with CGCSC Acquired start-up equipment from previous club

Activities in Progress, not Completed Working to build permanent game facilities at Maple Grove Fund raising to cover start-up expenses Completing 501(c)3 application for charitable donations Finalization of full year 2013/14 budget Home playing field for spring 2014 Middle School + Elementary kickoff meeting US Lacrosse outreach to lower grades Completion of Board and Officers

2013/14 Practice & Game Activities Fall: – Practice: Boys: Tuesday/Thursday,Girls: Wednesday, at Maple Grove [starting Sept. 24 th ] – Conditioning: Boys: Monday/Wednesday, Girls: Tuesday/Thursday, at CGHS – Tournaments: (separate fee) – Girls: this weekend – Boys: October 6 th, Hoosier Lacrosse Winter: – Practice: Maple Grove or indoor as Center Grove Soccer [reserved] as scheduled – Conditioning: CGHS [tbd] – Games: – Indy Sportszone (Empire or Hoosier Lacrosse box lacrosse Spring: – Full slate of Boys & Girls JV and varsity games.

2013/14 Expectations Board, Officers, & Coaches – Greater availability, inclusiveness, accountability, and transparency – Regular communication that reaches all participants & parents – Act as “one” organization General – Registration + Payment of any fees prior to participation – 100% US Lacrosse membership + CGCSC waiver participation – All participants eligible to play under IHSLA & INGLA rules – Shift to fundraising + sponsorship to reduce annual fees/start-up costs Participants – Positive attitude, commitment to the sport, & represent CGHS appropriately Parents – Support & patience and greater participation volunteer and service.
