 It has not been certain the exact cause of disease but the major roles that play in this disease is genetics, society/media pressure, low self-esteem and body-image issues.  Feeding problems as an infant and maternal depressive symptoms tend to be risk factors.  Imbalances in neurotransmitters may occur in people suffering anorexia.

 Anorexia is a eating disorder and more or less a psychosomatic illness which is mean unstable mental state.  This means that this illness is affecting the body severely even though it is from the state of mind.  Some stereotypical people might say its just all in the anorexic victims mind but it very well is still classified a disease.

 The most common sufferers of Anorexia Nervosa is females as 95% are females who have anorexia.  It is usually formed in the adolescence stage but also in adults and children.  The sufferers are commonly found from high economic countries such as US and Australia.  People who desires to be skinny such as dancers, actors etc. May lead to anorexia.

 Anorexia is much more complicated than just weight and food.  The food and weight factors are just symptoms of more serious mental problems:  Depression| Loneliness| Insecurity| Perfect |Out of Control|  Feeling powerless will cause this feeling power over what they eat. (manipulation) Also not eating to distract from difficult emotions.

 Medical Treatment!  First priority is addressing any serious health issues.  May be hospitalised due to malnourishment. Until less critical weight. (not life threatening)  Nutritional Treatment!  Nutritional counselling is needed.  Proper dieting and healthy eating will be advised by a nutritionist/dietician.
