5 Facts about Amur Tigers Once found in Russian Far East , northern China, and the Korean peninsula. Amur Tigers have the largest home range of any Tiger subspecies. In 1940s hunting had driven the Amur Tiger to the brink of distinction. By 1980s the Amur Tiger population had increased to about 500. These creatures can weigh up to 650 pounds and are about 10 to 12 feet in length.

Habitat/Niche The Amur Tiger lives in Temperate Forests. They live in northeast China, eastern Russia, and parts of North Korea.

Reproduction Mothers of the Amur Tiger gives live birth to young. The gestational period of the mother tiger is 3- 3 ½ months.

Diet Amur Tigers mainly eat Elk, deer, and wild boar.

Biotic and Abiotic factors Abiotic factors are rocks, water, and oxygen. Biotic factors are plants and other animals.

Amur Tigers Left There are 40 Tigers left because of illegal hunting of the tigers prey, illegal logging, and habitat loss.

Butterfly species My species is a butterfly species because without them eating the deer then the deer population would overpopulate. The deer would eat all of the vegetation and humans wouldn’t have vegetables and fruit to eat.
