Missions : A religious settlement

Pueblo Revolt A fight between the Spanish and Native Americans. The revolt was one of the most successful attempts by Native Americans to drive out European forces.

La Salle Expedition French explorer who claimed the Mississippi and lands west of the river as well as its drainage for France. Established Ft. St. Louis Was murdered by his own men

San Francisco de los Tejas Mission built in East Texas that ended in failure Created by Alonso de Leon and Father Damian Massanet

Francisco Hidalgo Priest who started a mission in East Texas Leader of the Mexican Independence movement towards Spain Believer in the Enlightenment He was arrested then later executed due to his efforts
