What we’ve done 75kW wind turbine owned by local shareholders. Generating since 2001 New project erecting 500kW turbine

How Formed as Dyfi Valley Community Wind Partnership, unincorporated association Public meetings, landowner negotiations, grant funding, feasibility, planning permission, business plans, raise money… put up turbine

Legal structure Started as an unincorporated association – Dyfi Valley Community Wind Partnership Limited liability legal entity required before commencing project Registered under Industrial & Provident Societies Act (as opposed to Companies): –One member one vote, regardless of shareholding

Project details Grants, feasibility, business plan, bank loan, legal agreements, shares … £175,500 shares sold (£100 upwards) Total project value £348,500 NFFO, followed by PPA with electricity company 15 year lifespan

Turbine details Existing defunct turbine – the MS4 Reuse existing foundations – circumvents planning Second hand Nordtank machine from Germany Adapter plate to fit foundations and tower
