 World Book Day is a celebration that takes place to help encourage and embrace reading. It celebrates authors, illustrators and books!  It is the biggest celebration of it’s kind.  This is the 19th year there’s been a World Book Day!  It’s not just celebrated in the UK, it is marked in over 100 countries all over the world.  It aims to help encourage children of all ages to start reading, and express their love for reading.

On the next few slides will be some questions. On the answer sheet provided, you will need to answer these questions as best as you can! Each question is timed, you have 20 seconds for each question so make sure you write the answer. If you don’t know it, have a guess!
