Suggested practices that could enhance the mentor-intern relationship School Representatives 1)Identify the qualities and skills mentors should possess 2)Include the criteria for selecting mentors in school policies 3)Establish a professional and friendly relationship with interns who completed the practicum for sharing ideas, expertise, and success stories 4)Design a certificate for teachers identified as good mentors and who are continuously willing to serve as mentors 5) Hold school meeting at the start of the academic year to clarify for both interns and mentors their responsibilities and expectations during the different phases of the practicum 6) Provide a structured form or guidelines that help mentors and interns work more effectively in planning their lessons and assessing performances 7) Increase the compensation rates for mentors, if possible
