Mortuary Care Workers in mortuary care provide a needed service for everyone. Preparation of deceased Ceremony that honors deceased Provide spiritual support to living Cremation or burial of deceased.

Awareness Funeral practices and rites vary due to: Cultural diversity Religion finances

Places of employment Funeral homes or mortuaries Crematoriums Cemetery associations

Career descriptions Funeral director – main person dealing with the living and deceased. Embalmer – preserve the body with embalming fluid. Mortuary assistant – assist with preparation of the body. pg
