Jews were required to wear a yellow star. Other prisoners wore triangle images in different colors for easy identification. A red triangle for liberals, socialists and communists, green for common criminals, pink for homosexuals purple for Jehovah's witnesses and black for asocial or antisocial such as alcoholics, prostitutes or vagrants.
