Matthew 16:28-17:8

"Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom."

Yesterday, May 21 st, 2011; the End of the World? Harold Camping is a false prophet!

And he said to them, "I tell you the truth, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power.“ After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.

“We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.’ We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.”

“Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves” (Luke 5:10, Mark 5:37, Matt. 26:37) Philippians 2:8 “He humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross!”

“They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, ‘What were you arguing about on the road?’ But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.” James 3:16 “For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.”

“metamorphosis” - meaning “to transform or change in form.” “It was not just His appearance that changed, but His essential form became different.” John 17:5 “And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.”

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

“What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life, and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us.”

“Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me…I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters…out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.”

John 1:45 “Philip found Nathanael and said to him, ‘We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote--Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.’ ”

5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them… 7:12 "In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets. 11:13-14 "For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John.

“Then Moses went up with Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, 10 and they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself. Yet He did not stretch out His hand against the nobles of the sons of Israel; and they saw God, and they ate and drank.”

“After the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"

“Let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.“

1:1 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. 3 The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

“While he was saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were fearful as they entered the cloud.”

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation…He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him…”

“And so Moses finished the work. Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled upon it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.”

“The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: "He is good; his love endures forever." Then the temple of the LORD was filled with a cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God.”
