Aeronautical abbreviations In aviation, there are hundreds of abbreviations List of them can be found in Regulation L 8400 and AIP Their use is very common and occur in, e.g.: Flight plan NOTAM Code ATC messages Plain language meteorological messages Aeronautical charts etc. Their knowledge is necessary!!!
