Why was the Great Pyramid of Cheops (aka. Khufu) a major engineering achievement?

Answer to Question…  SIZE! It was the tallest man-made structure in the world for over 3,800 years!  Base measures 754 ft. covering 13 acres!  Entrance was 15 meters higher then it is today.  Horizontal passage that leads to the King’s Burial Chamber is 100ft. long.  King’s chamber is 34.4’ x 17.2’ x 19.1’ high

How long did it take to build?  Between BC.  100,000 slaves built the pyramid.  2,000,000 blocks of stone.
