 Electricity-Photovoltaic Cells A.K.A Solar Panels  Water- Rain Barrels  Structure- Big Windows  Heating/Cooling- Reflective Roof  Waste- Compost

 Takes in sunlight and converts it to a useable form. Each panel can produce from Watts.  This source replaces electricity from the electric company.  Usually put up on or around the building.

 Collects rain and can be stored for future use.  This replaces the need for water from the water company.  Generally connected to the gutter to collect rain water better.

 Windows that take up most of the building to let in more light. Can also help heat the building.  Replaces the need for a lot of light bulbs. Also reduces the need for heating.

 This is known as a “cool roof” since it reflects the suns rays away from the building to keep it cool.  This reduced the need for air conditioning- use less electricity.

 Organic materials are put in the composter and broken down into nutrient rich soil.  This can help the plants and reduce the amount of fertilizer needed for plants. Also helps reduce the amount of trash.
