Welcome Have you ever wanted to explore your own body? Have you ever wanted to take a boat safari in your stomach? Or take a water slide down your small intestine? Well with the NEW Digestive System Tour you can. It’s a great trip for the whole family. Warning Children under the age of 7 are not permitted Did you know that the 6 nutrients that your body needs are fat, protein, minerals, vitamins, Cryohydrate and water? See your learning already! There is much, much more where this came from! That the main function of the digestive system is to break up food small enough to fit into your cells? Well it’s true!

First Comes The Mouth Here you will learn that Mechanical Digestion is food being chewed up by the teeth, while Chemical digestion means that saliva breaks up food with the enzyme amylase and the nutrient that starts to be digested is carbohydrates. Para shoot out of the cavity in your teeth! Did you know…. That the function of the mouth is to break down food by mechanical digestion and chemical digestion?

Than We Move Onto The Esophagus! Look at me I’m sliding down the Esophagus! You can TOO! A closer look The function of the esophagus is to push food into the stomach.

Than We Move On To The Stomach. Click to listen! The stomach provides a smooth muscle bag that uses chemical digestion and mechanical digestion to break down food. Did you know the nutrient that starts to be digested is protein? They get digested into amino acid. Our activity is….. A Boat Safari!

We than make our way down to the small intestine. Fact of the day: Mechanical digesting in the small intestine is when fat is broken down by bile which is in the stomach. Chemical digestion is when fats are broken down by an enzyme called lipase. The nutrient that starts to be digested is..... FAT! The nutrients are absorbed into the blood by the valli which is in the small intestine. Water slide down the small intestine! The structures and functions of the small intestine are absorption of nutrients The small intestine is made of smooth muscle.

And To End Off The Tour Were Going To Go To The Large Intestine and Take a Trip Out The Buttock. Interesting Fact: The structures and functions contain of….. A muscular tube that absorbed excess water. Interesting Fact: The structures and functions contain of….. A muscular tube that absorbed excess water. Activity: Hike through the large intestine!
