Providing Stable Christian & 12-Step Cultures that Reduces Recidivism and Helps People Successfully Re-enter Society  So many come to Christ and sobriety in jail – So many crash & burn on the streets. Jails and Prisons actually provide a stable, reliable, routine, which quiets the spirit so inmates can hear the hopeful encouraging message brought to them by Christian and AA Volunteers. Once released though the stable, reliable routine and support is gone. Friends of the Master was founded to provide a safe, stable environment in which returning citizens can continue to grow spiritually.  In January of 2009, Friends of the Master opened it’s first home (there are now three) to provide the stability and friendship returning citizens need. These homes welcome re-entering citizens into a vibrant Christian and 12-Step culture of friendship, faith, encouragement, support, and dignity. A cultural compass pointing to true happiness, now and in the future.  Our campus of three houses in the EMU student section are all under the authority of a resident Campus Director, whose greatest responsibility is maintaining the Christian & 12-Step cultures. This ‘Spiritual Culture’ is essential to both personal growth and the stability of the homes. The Director encourages, and if needed admonishes. These are always done respecting each person’s dignity, yet with the firmness needed to better the person.  Strong bonds of friendship and fellowship are built around meals. We see ourselves as a family, and even many of our alumni join us at meals. We love to entertain guests, and hospitality is a core value which breeds fellowship. One that we hope all of our graduates take with them when they move on to an independent, self-directed life.  We look to Jesus and his disciples for our guide to life. He called his disciples friends and he was their Master. As their master, Christ’s spent much time around the dinner table, teaching, sharing, laughing and just enjoying the comradery. Life is richer when shared daily with a group of people sharing a common path on the way to a common goal.

GRAND SPONSOR - $3,000 The Grand Sponsor will be displayed on an 11’ x 40’ High Definition full color screen for 75 minutes which will include the time for the Friends of the Master Welcome Presentation and bowling portions of the event.
