© 2014 ELLUCIAN. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED – CONFIDENTIAL & PROPRIETARY. SSSP and MIS SS report  Program tied to funding and resulting in the new MIS SS report  MIS SS report replaces SM report  Similar data needs, yet different  Some new elements  Some redefined elements

© 2014 ELLUCIAN. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED – CONFIDENTIAL & PROPRIETARY. MIS SS report and the prior SM report  SM data form: SEADETL  Awkward to use baseline form  Term effective (historical data), but much of SM is term- specific (only applies to a single term)  All services lumped into one table  No multi-college district distinction for each college  SS data form: creating new forms and tables  Two data forms: a term effective and a term-specific  Separate the different types of service data  Several new validation forms and tables  Defined by college

© 2014 ELLUCIAN. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED – CONFIDENTIAL & PROPRIETARY. CABLSTU release plans  CALBSTU 8.9, April 4, 2014  Data collection forms and supporting forms  All database structures  CALBSTU patch bundle (May or June)  Loads the MIS SS report definitions into REPT  Related SB_STU (MIS student basic report) report revisions  Data conversion  Actively working with a client focus group

© 2014 ELLUCIAN. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED – CONFIDENTIAL & PROPRIETARY. SS report  Requirements are still being discussed (nearing the end)  Discovery process for DED meaning and applying it to data  Client focus group  Filtering questions to CCCCO  Representative that was on the SSSP committee  A huge thank you to the participants for their contributions to the discussions and their pursuit of the answers! (Also important, thank you to Myrna Huffman and others at the CCCCO for their attention to our questions.)

© 2014 ELLUCIAN. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED – CONFIDENTIAL & PROPRIETARY. SS report: What is known  Expansion to SB_STU to include non-students  No SGASTDN, only in admissions  SGASTDN or admissions is “future term,” but the service is today (nothing effective in the “service term”)  Query for enrollment and 3-years-absent  SX conditions: “Did they report on SX in the last three years?”  Performance testing completed on a “large data” group of terms  “Initial” elements being discussed  “What is initial?”  “How is it presented on SS?”  This is the most difficult MIS report to-date.

© 2014 ELLUCIAN. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED – CONFIDENTIAL & PROPRIETARY.30 SS report: What is unknown  We don’t know what we don’t know.  We are still finding out what we don’t know, still discovering, and we are nearing the end of the discovery process.  We are making the final decisions on how each element works.  How much work is left to make it all come together on the SS report?  Development and research for the report are occurring while we finish the CALBSTU 8.9.
