The Northeast Region U.S.A By: Ramana Due date: 11/05/10

Location On the east of the Northeast Region is the Atlantic Ocean. There is also the Gulf of Maine. On the west of the Northeast Region is Lake Ontario.

State The states in the Northeast Region is New York,Vermont,New Hampshire,Massachusetts,Connecticut,Maine and Rhode Island. New York city is the largest city. Rhode Island is the smallest state. Vermont has very little population. Lot of people do fishing in Maine.

Population Most people in the Northeast Region live in New York because it is a fun place to visit and it has many skyscrapers. Vermont doesn’t have a lot of population but lot of tourist come there because of its scenery.

Human/Environment Interaction The Northeast Region has a lot of rocky soil so its not a major farming region. Instead, they make a lot of business. Lot of companies have their jobs in skyscrapers at New York City and Boston

Climate & Weather The Northeast Region has a continental climate. So the winters are very cold and the summers are mild. Many times in a year the Northeast Region can be hit by powerful storms.

Landforms In Vermont in the fall it has lots of colorful trees. It has lot of good scenery. Massachusetts has lots of colleges. One of them is MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
