Was it because demand went up? Feed prices low? Meat was readily available? Is it cheaper to have meat in our diet now?

Beef, pork, or poultry?

 The American diet has changed from preference of meat and dietary restrictions and concerns.  But the biggest change has come from the ability to have a quick meal.  The poultry industry, producing smaller animals, was able to change the industry faster than beef or pork to adapt to consumer needs.

 What are some other trends besides the meat industry that has come about in agriculture? 1. Organic Farming 2. Pesticide use 3. Food prices 4. Technology
