Monster by Walter Dean Meyers -16 year old Steve is on trial for murder. As he recounts his side of the story, the jury (and the reader!) tries to figure out whether or not Steve is innocent, or a true “monster”. -Largely written as a movie script, this book is fast paced and exciting. Great if you like suspense and mystery!

Konigsburg -6 th grader Claudia and her little brother Jamie are fed up with their family, so they run away and hide in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. -Living in secret at the museum goes well until the delivery of a mysterious statue sets their curiosity on fire. Great if you like mystery and intrigue.
