Remember, a big part of the college experience is GOING GREEN !

DON’T throw ‘em away!

DO RECYCLE Instead, DO RECYCLE ! It’s the right thing to do!

MTSU participates in an ongoing E-Waste Recycling Program to repurpose, reuse, and recycle electrical and computer components. But no drop-offs of e-waste at Campus Recycling Center. Instead, call us and we’ll pick up e-waste and special recyclables: (615)

1. Avoid wasting food, use perishables first 2. Switch to fluorescent bulbs 3. Keep your refrigerator door closed 4. Store food in glass or ceramic containers 5. Turn off water while brushing your teeth

6. When shaving or washing your face, brush your teeth while waiting for the water to warm up 7. Set your thermostat two degrees lower in winter and two higher in summer 8. Always turn off lights when leaving your room 9. Unplug electronics that are not being used, like your cell phone charger

10. RECYCLE ! Set up separate containers in your dorm or apartment, carry to campus bins weekly or when full!
