My Professional background and experience I work as an instructional paraprofessional at New Road School of Ocean –Worked there for 10 years –Private school for emotional, behavioral and cognitively impaired children –Performs other tasks i.e. assistant chorus teacher, job coach, production and culinary

Professional background continued Went to nursing school for 4 years –Wasn’t able to finish due to financial difficulties –Nursing assistant for 5 years –Surgical assistant for a dermatologist for 4 years

My Interests My number one interest is rescuing bunnies. I have adopted 13 rabbits in the last 18 years. –Currently own 2 holland/mini lops named Pip and Rusty –My oldest rabbit Maximus lived 14 years

My interests continued… I enjoy singing, which is why I teach chorus. I love to dance. Im always the first one up at any party and I teach the kids line dancing Also I crochet blankets and love to spend time reading a good book

My schooling and lasting experience I attended public school all my life My 8 th grade science teacher was very patient, engaging and interesting. He always made the time to answer my questions. He would relate his experiences with an ambulance company he worked for over the summer to the lessons that we were learning. He made the class fun. He told me once that I had the hands of a surgeon when we were dissecting frogs and that’s what made me first want to study biology.

Plans for the future Currently have a bachelors degree in Sociology with a concentration in education from ashford university and would hope to get my masters of arts. My Masters I hope will allow me to be able to receive the credentials I would need in order to become a science teacher at my school.
