Report Cards Standards based A "3" is the target for students The scoring guide is available on the district website – 1st and 2nd trimester are formative – 3rd trimester is summative Expect comments for scores of 1 or 2, not necessary for scores of 3 or 4
2 nd Grade Homework The goal of homework in 2 nd grade is to build good study habits and teach responsibility 2 nd graders should spend 20min. a night on homework Homework is not meant to be challenging, but reinforce skills learned in school Pick a homework area and set routines
Math Homework Math homework will be coming home 4 nights a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) The math homework will be practice for the lesson learned that day About 10 min. (please do not work too far beyond this, write me a note if homework is too difficult and I will help your child at school) Math homework is due the next day IXL or Everyday Math Online Games Fact Practice
