The Not So New Solution To The Wireless Office. Established 1998

BLUETOOTH A short-range radio technology aimed at simplifying communications among devices and computers.

Why Bluetooth? It’s Wireless. It’s Inexpensive. Allows a wide variety of devices to work together seemlessly. You don’t have to think about it.

What types of devices can be Bluetooth enabled?

History of Bluetooth Developed by Bluetooth Special Interest Group in Founding members were Ericsson, Nokia, Intel, IBM, and Toshiba. The bluetooth standard was approved in the summer of 1999.

Specifications: Operates on 2.45 gigahertz frequency Emits signals of 1 milliwatt Has a range of up to 10 meters Changes frequencies up to 1600 times/sec. between 79 channels Each channel has a total capacity of 1 Mbps.
