Gallipoli In Gallipoli a man called Sir Ian Hamilton was appointed to lead a force of 75,000 troops. The ottomans had over 500,000 men in battle and 250,000 of the men injured and 89,000 died. Turkey signed up German men to help themselves attack Russia. back
