ZOE The Life of GOD Part 20

I John 5 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life (perpetual ZOE), and this life is in his Son.

3 Kinds of Life BIOS – natural life and is very short and is temporary (plant, animal, body – biography, and biology) PSUCHE – soul, mind, will, & emotions and is immortal (can not cease to exist, can not die) psyche, and psychology ZOE – life of God and is eternal (perpetual, instantly and constantly being renewed). Resides in your spirit.

2 Corinthians 4 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life (ZOE) also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

II Peter 1 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

Godliness God –like-ness: acting like God Opposite of: Worldliness – acting like the world

Diligence Attentive and persistent in doing a thing; steadily applied; active; unremitting; untiring; constancy of effort; speed and earnestness; meticulous; Opposite of: Lazy, Carelessness, Lethargy, Indifference, Apathy Lazy, Carelessness, Lethargy, Indifference, Apathy (Jesus equates it with FAITHFULNESS)

Faith Absolute certainty in the trustworthiness of another: (should be GOD) TRUST Opposite of: disbelief, distrust, doubt, misgiving, skepticism, suspicion, uncertainty, to be unsure, lacking in confidence, FEAR

Knowledge (gk. – science) Information, especially that gained through observation, identification, description, investigation, experience, and explanation. Opposite of: Ignorance, Unawareness, Incomprehension, Incapacity (which puts you in a position of being weak, helpless, powerless)

Psalm The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

Agape Charity/Love The God kind of LOVE: Endures bravely, is useful and kind, not in competition with anyone, behaves properly, not easily stirred up, does not take inventory of evil, shields from anything which threatens, has faith in any and all circumstances, has confidence in any and all circumstances, refuses to give up in any and all circumstances.

Agape Charity/Love Opposite of: Buckles with cowardice, useless and worthless, competing with others, acts improperly, is easily stirred up (emotional), takes inventory of evil, allows others to be threatened, is fearful, timid, and cuts & runs

II Corinthians Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love (agape) and peace shall be with you. 11 Finally, brethren, farewell.
