How to Save Money With Food Buy groceries for the week – saves time and money! Buy things in bulk – MEAL PREPPING! Buy a lot of easy to fry, broil items (chicken, eggs, etc) On the go types of means (PB&J, sandwiches, bagels, snacks, etc)

Saving Money on the Weekends Saving money DOES NOT mean that you can’t have a social life on the weekends! Setting limits and guidelines is key it’s okay to say no! Turn going out into only a weekend thing – makes going out more special
Convenience versus Budgeting Busy college students = less time to budget NOT TRUE! Allocate time on your weekends to prep meals and plan for the week ahead
Unconscious Spending (Especially in CKI!) Socials after every meeting Eating out after service projects District Events that may need a large amount at one time Etc, Etc, Etc… All of this adds up, but we might not be aware of this!
How to Become More Aware of Spending! THINK AHEAD! Allocate resources when you know the deadlines, especially for district events Set a limit for how much you want to spend a week at CKI events (Example: Setting aside $20 specifically for CKI a week) #GotoDCON #SaveForDCON #SaveForDistrictEvents
