CHOOSING A SYSTEM Topical Preaching (Giảng theo Chủ Đề) –Marriage, Substance Addition, Friendship –Salvation, Justification, Eschatology Expository Preaching (Giảng Giải Kinh) –Giảng giải những đoạn kinh văn quan trọng –Giảng từng sách trong Kinh Thánh Lectionary Preaching (Giảng theo Các Đoạn Kinh Văn Chọn Sẵn) –Cokesbury Resources, GBOD Resources –(call to worship, prayers, litanies, dramas, musical suggestions, children’s sermon, & sermon)

Plan Your Preaching Goal: Prepare themes, texts, sermon topics for next 3 months Set 2-3 days each quarter, preferably in a retreat place to plan Make sure to tell your SPRC, Church Council Chair where you are and what you will do Pray that the Holy Spirit will guild your mind in this process Think about the needs of your church Bring planning tools: Bible, calendar, computer, etc. Come back and tell your music leaders and members of Worship Team so they can prepare their parts Always plan your preaching 3 months ahead. That will relieve you from constant worry of what to preach this Sunday.

Preparing Sunday Bulletin Goal: Complete by Friday All information ready by Thursday, preferably Wednesday, in case equipment down If anything happens on Saturday, make verbal announcement on Sunday Always check your spellings Never discuss church business while in worship service

Working with Worship Team Acolytes: light and extinguish candles Altar Guild: Keep worship space clean, dignified, beautiful (flower) Music: Pianist, bands, other musical instruments Liturgists: read certain parts in the service. Involve all aged levels to participate in the worship servces Communion: Prepare, ste up, and clean up Sound: maintain volume in the best levels Greeters: Give people a warm welcome Ushers: Distribute bulletins and show people to their seats Projection: Powerpoint, film clips, announcements, etc. Visual Arts: symbols, images, paraments, wreaths, poinsettias (Christmas), lilies (Easter), basket of fruits (Thanksgiving), Pentecost, Palm Sunday, etc. Children’s sermon leader
