 Is a computer career for me?  To answer this question. I will create 3 algorithms to help determine whether or not a computer related career is for me Identifying the Problem

  Determine whether or not I have an interest in computers  Familiarize myself some computer related careers such as web site developer, computer engineer etc…  Take computer courses to see if I like computers and want to pursue a computer career Algorithm 1

  Use a computer for hours at a time and find out what you like about computers.  Research a career that is specific to what you like about computers.  Ask anyone who is in a computer related career and obtain some primary source information Algorithm 2

  Take a computer course to see if you like computers  If you like computers still. Take a course outside of school that specializes in what you have in mind  If you like it, pursue it! Algorithm 3

  The best algorithm is Algorithm 1 because it determines whether you like computers which is very important in determining whether you will like a computer related career. Also, because it makes you research a computer career to see if the conditions and what people do in the career is something that you are interested in. It is also good because it makes you take a course and makes you experience first hand what a computer related career will be similar to. So that way you will be prepared and have an understanding of what the career is like. Picking the Best Algorithm

  I have tested this algorithm. First I really truly asked myself if I like or have an interest in computers and I got my answer. I can prove this because I took many courses related to computers. Secondly I found some information on computer courses in careers using the career cruising website. Lastly, I did take computer courses and this course is an example of a computer course I took. I like this course and the other computer courses I took. My results showed that a computer career is for me. Testing the Algorithm

  The problem with the algorithm is that I did not obtain any primary source information from someone who is in a computer career. This is important because the person could give me tips and advice for getting into or for the career itself.  Another problem is that I did not take a program outside of school that specializes in what career I have in mind. This is important because it would be more specific experience into what the career is like rather than in a generalized way. Refining the Algorithm
