How To Get a 0 Jacqueline Murcia

Student does not make an effort to achieve or complete any mathematical processes. Students who don’t do their OWN experiment nor collect any data will get this score. Students who just copy straight from a book or collect data from historical accounts will receive a 0. Student who does not produce any explanations or conclusions.

How To Get a 1 Jacqueline Murcia

Do’s and Dont’s Do’s: Student carries out at least 2 simple mathematical processes. For example: percentages, areas of plane shapes, graphs, trigonometry, bar charts, pie charts, mean and standard deviation, substitution, and graphs. Don’t’s: This does not require you to have any detail or any complete presentations. Also, your calculations do not have to be precise or without error.

Example ●The only mathematical process that the student has carried out is percentages. The pie charts were created by a computer.

How to get a 2 Elias Valentin

Do’s & Dont’s Carry out at least 2 simple mathematical processes CORRECTLY There does not have to be any further mathematical processes to get to this level. Example of simple math processes include: Percentages, bar charts, pie charts, standard deviation, trigonometry and mean. Incorrect use of formula or consistent mistakes in using data gathered disqualifies the person from this achievement level.

Example For example, if you were to carry out standard deviation in relation to your topic but did not explain its purpose and or it is incorrect, you would not be awarded this level.

How to get a 3 Arlette De La Rosa

Do’s & Dont’s Do’s: 2 Mathematical processes must be completed correctly All processes used must be relevant to that of the student’s project Dont’s: Use 1 mathematical process only Write the formula next to the answer without the work

Do’s >Relevant Mathematical processes needs to be carried out correctly > One further process has to be carried out Ex: Differential calculus, mathematical modelling, optimization, analysis of exponential functions, statistical tests and distributions, and compound probability > Needs to contain information on everything you do that is relevant to the calculations

More DO’s Collected 100 pieces of data SImple mathematical equations (finding mean and standard deviation) is necessary for the process Math must be written out by hand Must show your work Can contain errors in the further processes of math At least ONE further process must be calculated with full work Simple mathematical processes are carried out correctly At least 2 simple math processes and 1 further math process
