Many Jamaican reggae singers and some of the island's most important writers use Creole English. 레게 가수 일부작가 : creole 사용

India English is now an important part of modern Indian life.

 There are many differences in grammar and words between Indian English and standard English. there are + 주어 between A and B : A 와 사이에

 English is an important language in this region. This region : near the Pacific Ocean.

 There are many kinds of English in the Pacific. There + are + 주어. Many + 복수명사 Kind : 종류

 In Singapore, for example, English is a second language. for example : 예시 = for instance

 Many people understand and speak standard English, but they prefer Singlish at home or with their friends. but : 연결어 // prefer 내용상 : 집과 친구들사이에서

 How about Australia? How = what

 There, people speak standard English, but also use a special Australian English called “Strine." Called : p.p. 주격관계대명사 + be 동사 + p.p.

[ 관계대명사의 생략 ] 명사 + 주격관계대명사 + be 동사 + ing // p.p. 생략가능 그럼 명사 + ing // p.p. 만 남는다

People speak standard English, but also use a special Australian English [(which is) called "Strine.” This is the book written by Shakespeare. These are the watches made in China.

 In Strine a cup of tea is a “cuppa" and a British person is a “pom."

 English is becoming more than one language. more than : 비교급

 Will English like Jamaican Creole, Singlish, and Strine grow stronger in the future? grow, become, get + 비교급

 It is hard to say. But one thing is true. but : 그러나

 As the world grows smaller, people will need standard English even more for international communication in the twenty-first century. even more : 비교급 강조 Still, far, much, a lot Very 절대 불가

 The future is not local or standard; it is local and standard.
