Geo/SIG Committee Intros The 2013 Geo/SIG Committee Chair is Doreen Fox-Dwyer (Hyperion SIG representative) and Co-Chair is Kathleen Fauerbach (Nevada OAUG and Public Sector SIG representative) The committee members are: 1.Bill Dunham – Geo representative - Eastern States OAUG 2.Brian Bent – SIG representative – Archive & Purge SIG 3.Christine West – Geo representative – Florida OAUG 4.Chuck Armbruster – SIG representative – eAM SIG 5.Dawn Borak – Geo representative – Nevada OAUG 6.Jon Riley – Geo representative – Ohio Valley OAUG 7.Maureen Bagley – Geo representative – Northern Ohio OAUG 8.Robin Walker – SIG representative – Customer Experience Community (CXC) 9.Sandra Vucinic – SIG representative – Upgrade SIG Each Geo and SIG has an assigned committee member to answer questions and mentor the group. All Geos and SIGs will receive initial communication from their committee member in the next 2-3 weeks then you will receive quarterly communication.

OAUG Membership Campaigns Annual Geo Membership Campaign – open to all Geos hosting events throughout Geo provides copy of registration list 2 days prior to their event 2.Geo presents brief PowerPoint promoting OAUG to all attendees 3.Geo confirms presentation and provides final registration or attendee list 4.Geo receives $50 Amex gift card for participating COLLABORATE 13 On Site OAUG Promotion – for Geos & SIGs 1.All Geos and SIGs will receive PPT slide to review during their session – slide will promote OAUG membership booth activities 2.Attendees who stop by the booth will complete a brief survey indicating which meeting(s) they attended and be entered in a $100 Amex gift card drawing 3.The top 3 Geos or SIGs driving the most traffic to the booth will be awarded a $200 Amex gift card Details for both campaigns & the PPT materials may be downloaded on the Coordinator Resources page

Certificate of Distinction – 2012 Submissions Nicole ed the Certificate of Distinction form to all Coordinators on January 25 th. Deadline for submission is close of business February 28 th. Submitting Geos and SIGs will receive confirmation upon receipt of your paperwork. Winners will be announced at the Geo/SIG VIP Luncheon at COLLABORATE 13. Winners will also be featured in the Summer edition of Insight magazine, User Communities Announcements & News page and the COLLABORATE 13 wrap up article.

Certificate of Distinction Program Update The Geo/SIG Committee spent several months reviewing the Certificate of Distinction requirements to ensure recognition of Geos and SIGs who meet the affiliation standards and exceed in providing support to their user community membership. Beginning in 2013, the improved standards for the Certificate of Distinction will be implemented. Nicole will the new Certificate of Distinction application to all Coordinators the week of March 4 th. The form will also be available on the Coordinator Resources page. Reminder: The Certificate of Distinction period runs February to February. Affiliation standards must be met for this award.

OAUG Affiliation Standards Affiliation standards ( or Compliance) is reviewed prior to COLLABORATE and OpenWorld each year. The following items are required to maintain compliance: 1. Submit the annual re-affiliation form 2. Maintain a website – update, at minimum, quarterly 3. Utilize the OAUG online Geo/SIG membership application or provide membership data to OAUG annually 4. Appoint or elect a Geo/SIG Coordinator who is the liaison between OAUG and the Geo or SIG. The Coordinator must agree to be responsible for communicating all OAUG info (membership, events, etc.) to Geo/SIG members. One member of the Geo/SIG Executive Board Leadership must hold a current OAUG membership. Each Geo and SIG has an assigned G/S Committee member who will be reaching out to you to discuss compliance and receive feedback. Contact Nicole if you have any questions about your compliance status.

Geo/SIG Direct Funding 2013 The Geo/SIG Committee is pleased to announce the direct funding program is increased for Total funding available is $15, Each compliant Geo and SIG is eligible for up to $750 in funding during Complete guidelines, pre and post approval paperwork is available on the Coordinator Resources page. Note: The following items are not reimbursable: travel expenses, hotel accomodations or webinar service fees. Note: Food & beverage will be covered up to $300 and will not include coverage of alcoholic beverages. Pre-approval paperwork is due a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event and reimbursement paperwork is due 30 days post event. No exceptions!

Oracle: New Customer Advisory Panels (CAP) In an effort to provide richer and timelier product feedback to the development teams Oracle is implementing a product advisory panel program. Each Oracle product line will have a panel of customers invited to provide detailed product feedback. Panelists will be periodically polled to: –Understand product satisfaction levels –Validate areas for improvement –Help set future product direction Representative panelist samples will be balanced by customer demographics, product releases and product families Panels are sponsored by the General Managers with content tailored to support their organizations Feedback from panelists will be provided to Oracle Development teams in a timely manner and trended against prior input Results are incorporated into broader deliverables shared with the Oracle Executive Committee and Board of Directors

How You Can Participate In / Promote CAP Complete program details are available on the Coordinator Resources page – CAP Overview PPT Promotional materials on the Coordinator Resources page include: 1.CAP Announcement for posting on Geo and SIG websites 2.CAP Recruitment for communicating to your Geo or SIG members OAUG will provide a slide for announcing during your Geo or SIG meetings at COLLABORATE 13. This slide will be posted on the Coordinator Resources page and may be used for any Geo or SIG event throughout the year.

COLLABORATE 13 - Update The complete Geo and SIG schedule is posted on the User Communities Announcements & News page on oaug.org – sessions will be highlighted in February and March eNews and other COLLABORATE specific communications. 20 Geos and 43 SIGs are hosting meetings! Complimentary pass details for each Geo and SIG hosting a meeting have been ed. Be sure to register ASAP! Hotel blocks are going quickly. Presentation Slides are due COB March 1, 2013 – white papers not necessary. All presentations must utilize the C13 PPT template. Be sure to utilize the COLLABORATE 13 Marketing Kit on your Geo/SIG websites. Kit was ed this week and is available for download on the Coordinator Resources page.
