Your student portal will give you three options in the right hand corner. Click on Library Resources.

You will be brought to the library’s home page. Here you can find articles and books specific to your field of study. You can also access the Research Guides under the tab: Research Help /

How to search South University’s Online Catalog from your office or home computer

To access the Online Catalog, click on the Open Book icon marked Catalog.

The Basic Search is not ideal if you are trying to find material specific to the Montgomery Campus.

This dropdown menu gives you the option to search in the Title, Subject or Keyword field. In Advanced Search, select the Location of SUM (for South University Montgomery). This will give you only results that can be found at the Montgomery campus AND online. This dropdown menu gives you the option to search any or all of the words in your search phrase. OR you can search it as a complete phrase

How to search South University’s Databases from your office or home computer

QuickSearch allows you to search many databases at once. Because Quick Search returns thousands of results, it is usually more convenient to search an individual database. (see below) To search an individual database scroll down to Browse by Subject option at bottom left and choose whichever subject seems most relevant to your search.

Choosing any subject will take you to a listing of databases available for that subject. Most contain full-text articles and-or full-text books. If you are uncertain which to try first, please always feel free to ask a Librarian for assistance.
