Cell Analogies (SpongeBob Theme) Jack Budzinski And Ernest Powell

Cell Membrane Cell Membrane is like Sandy’s dome because it controls what can go in and out of the inside it also protects the cell from outsiders to get in.

Chromosomes A bun delivery man are like chromosomes because they carry essential genetic information which would be the buns which make the Krabby Patty what it is just like chromosomes tell a cell what type it is.

Cytoplasm The city of Bikini Botoom is like cytoplasm because like the cytoplasm the water holds all the organelles in place and containsall the organelles that aren’t the nucleus. Cytoplasm

Mitochandria Sandy is like mitochondria because like the mitochondria Sandy tells the other organelles what to do and is the power house because she yells at the other people and gets them motivated to do their job.

Nucleus Mr. Krabs is like the nucleus because he controls all the organelles, he tells them what to do and is literally the control center of Bikini Bottom just like the nucleus is the control center of the cell.

Cell Wall The metal covering is like the cell wall because it surrounds the cell membrane and provides extra support and protection for the cell. It is hard because it is made from metal just like the cell wall is made of cellulose.

Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) The streets of Bikini Bottom are like the ER because they serve as a transport system. The smooth ER could be the street where traffic runs smoothly, and the rough ER could be the street that always seems to have an accident on it. Smooth ER Rough ER

Lysosomes The Bikini Bottom junkyard is like the lysosomes because it breaks down old useless cars and metal parts of the city just like lysosomes break down old parts of cells.

Vacuoles The patty vault is like a vacuole because it stores food for the people of the city lke a vacuole stores food for the organelles.

Ribosomes Spongebob is like the ribosomes because he makes the Krabby Pattys, protein, for the citizens with the control of the nucleus who is Mr. Krabs.

Nucleolus Mr. Krabs brain is like the nucleolus because it is inside the nucleus and without it there is no nucleus. Ribosome assembly begins here and this is where the idea of the Krabby Patty derived .

Chloroplasts Jelly Fish are like chloroplasts because they get energy from Jelly Fish Fields and turns it into jelly so that the citizens of the city (organelles) can eat it.

The End Bikini Bottom can be compared to a cell because it has people and buildings that act as organelles who have specific jobs and take command from the nucleus. This is why Bikini Bottom can act as a cell.
