CALCULATING GROSS PAY— ASSIGNMENT #2

Alec gets paid $10.00 an hour. This week, he worked 40 hours. What is Alec’s Gross Pay?

40 hours x $10 = $400

Bobby gets paid $8.20 an hour. This week, he worked 38 hours. What is Bobby’s Gross Pay?

38 hours x $8.20 = $311.60

Cobi worked 72 hours this week and gets paid $12.00 an hour. What is Cobi’s Gross Pay?

40 hours x $12 = $ hours x $18 = $576 $480 + $576 = $1056

Clayton worked 40 hours this week, but had to work 10 of those hours on Christmas day. He makes $12.00/hour. Assuming he gets double-time for working on Christmas, calculate his gross pay for the week.

30 $12 = $ $24 = $240 $600.00

Dylan worked 60 hours this week. For working 5 hours on the 4th of July, Dylan gets double-time. Dylan makes $10 an hour. Calculate his gross pay for the week.

Cameron is salaried at $48,000 per year. If he gets paid semi-monthly (twice monthly), what is his gross pay?

$48,000 / 24 paychecks $2,000.00

Morgan receives $500 per week for salary as a sales associate. His quota is $2,000 and his commission percentage is 7%. This week, Morgan sold $12,000 in merchandise, $1000 of which was returned. Calculate his gross pay.

($12,000 - $2,000 - $1,000) x.07 = $630 $630 + $500 $1130

Alyssa receives $1000 per week for salary as a sales associate. Her quota is $3,000 and her commission percentage is 10%. This week, Alyssa sold $15,000 in merchandise, $700 of which was returned. Calculate her gross pay.

($15,000 - $3,000 - $700) x.10 = $1,130 $1,130 + $1000 $2130

Theron picks grapes at a vineyard. He gets paid $4.25 per bucket. If Theron picked 80 buckets this week, what is his gross pay?
