Presentation transcript:

Your body changes in many ways during puberty. The changes do not all happen at the same time. Changes begin between the ages of 11 – 15 for girls and ages 12 – 16 in boys.

Appearance of hair on the face and chest, including the armpits.

Development of broader shoulders.

Appearance of the Adam’s apple.

Increase in height and weight.

Change in voice pitch, usually deeper voice.

Proneness to body odor and secreting too much oil that causes the skin to breakout.

You may feel awkward when you suddenly grow tall or when your voice becomes deeper. More so when other boys in you group do not appear to have changed yet. Do not fret! Changes that take place during puberty are natural. They are signs of growing up!
