Setting up REEF: Note to Instructors This presentation deck outlines the student set up steps if you’re planning to use REEF Grade Sync with your LMS. Areas marked in RED can be changed to better suit your school’s set up.

Setting up REEF: Link the course to REEF In [Insert your LMS Name], there is a link to sync to REEF. You must click on this link at least once for your grades to be counted. [Insert a Screenshot of your LMS weblink]

Setting up REEF: REEF Account The link will take you to the REEF login form. If you've used REEF before, login. If you are new to REEF, click on the "Create a New Account" link. IMPORTANT: Only create and use one REEF account. Creating multiple accounts may result in the loss of grade points.

Setting up REEF: Create a New Account Enter your information. Please use your university and your [student ID for our LMS]

Setting up REEF: If you are using a remote… If you plan to use a clicker, you must register your remote in REEF. [Delete this slide if you are not allowing clickers in your classroom]

Setting up REEF: If you are using a remote… Enter the barcode ID number found on the back of your clicker. If you do not have your clicker, you can register it later in your REEF profile. [Delete this slide if you are not allowing clickers in your classroom]

Setting up REEF: Check your Courses list Our course should be automatically added to your Courses list.

Setting up REEF: REEF mobile app If you want to use your mobile device to vote, you can download the mobile app from the Apple or Google app stores. [Delete this slide if you are not allowing mobile devices in your classroom]

Setting up REEF: Join the poll When our class is in session, hit the “Join” button to participate in the poll.

Setting up REEF: Session History The session history will capture the questions and your vote from class. You can use this as a study guide. [Delete this slide if you are not allowing session history screen captures]

Setting up REEF: Subscription Expired After 14 days, your free trial will expire and you'll need to purchase a subscription. You can pay online or using Apple or Google in-app purchasing. You can also purchase an access code from your bookstore if available. A subscription is optional if you are using a clicker.
