My baptism was in St. John the Evangelist Church in Carnlough. My date of birth is Monday 11 th of February I was born in the Antrim Area Hospital. My Godparents are Bronach OHare and Jasby Ghosh.
My first Holy Communion took place in St. John the Evangelist church. I was in P4. My whole class and a couple of people from Carnlough Integrated Primary School took part in receiving communion that day. Father Patton gave me my first Holy Communion. I was chosen to read a passage about the lost sheep.
When I receive the Holy Spirit I think I will become an adult in the eyes of God. I think the Holy Spirit will guide me and help me to make decisions. The Holy Spirit will help me to become closer to God. My confirmation name is Anastasia.
We have been given Faith Friends to help us on our journey to Confirmation. Faith Friends are pupils in sixth form from St Killians College which is very close to our school. They help us to understand more about the Holy Spirit through different activities. My Faith Friend’s name is Shauna Kane.
Coming to the end of P7 is the end of one journey for me and starting post primary education is the start of another journey. Confirmation marks the start of this new journey and by receiving The Holy Spirit it will help me to be more mature and help me see where I can improve in my attitude and how I treat people.
