Market Suitability Ethanol & Methanol can be integrated directly into the current fuel distribution system The Tri-Fuel system allows for a gradual fuel transfer to the sustainable fuels Engine system not as expensive as other alternative fuels such as electric or hydrogen Built from Lotus’ existing Exige S, making minimal changes to keep the 270E around the £34,550 (“Eu_Price_Lists_UK_.pdf”, June 2008) price mark

Conclusion The Lotus 270E opens up further opportunities for eco- transport; the fuel system is able to integrate into the carbon cycle, using CO2 from the atmosphere. Lotus have also put thought into the introduction of the vehicle after production, by attempting to make minimal changes to the 270E, which has allowed the general price of the car to remain similar to Lotus’ standard Exige (According to M.Reed (Personal Communication, November 14,2008) making the 270E a better solution for future transport, against hydrogen and electric based solutions.
